Chocolate Avocado Smoothie

Adding some sauerkraut brine to smoothies is quite delicious! It's a great way to use up some kraut brine and adds a dairy-free and low calorie dose of probiotics to smoothies! The salty brine creates balanced flavor in the sweet smoothie. I'm a huge fan of chocolate avocado, so I created a smoothie recipe that tastea great with a little sauerkraut brine added. Try it out for a cool summer treat!

Chocolate Avocado Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1 banana (be sure it is ripe and sweet)
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 teaspoon sauerkraut brine
  • 1 teaspoon ground chicory
  • 1/2 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon local raw honey
  • 5 ice cubes
